For Humane Education
EuroNICHE is working with students to support freedom
of conscience and with teachers to introduce alternatives to animal experiments
EuroNICHE is an international network of students, teachers
and other professionals working to improve teaching quality and end the
harmful use of animals within undergraduate education.
 EuroNICHE
offers practical support to teachers to help replace harmful animal use
and complement existing alternative methods.
And we empower students to defend their freedom of
conscience and to demand a progressive, humane education system of
the highest quality.
Many alternatives that are in use today have not replaced animal use:
they are part of a tradition of humane education where no animals are used
at all and alternatives are considered superior. The introduction of alternatives
may therefore be seen from the viewpoint of enhancing education by ending
harmful animal use and using new approaches and tools, rather than of replacing
an animal experiment.
